Questions people ask

Which is better: private limited company or limited liability partnership?

A private limited company suits businesses that plan to raise money or grow quickly. A limited liability partnership has fewer compliances and suits professionals and small partnerships. We explain the difference for your situation on the first call.

How long does company registration take?

Usually 10 to 15 working days once all documents are ready, depending on name approval and verification by the Registrar of Companies.

What is the minimum capital needed?

There is no fixed minimum paid-up capital for a private limited company. Many start with a small amount and increase it later.

What must a new company file in its first year?

Commencement of business within 180 days of incorporation, appointment of the first auditor, and from then on yearly filings of financial statements and the annual return, along with the income tax return.

When are the annual filings due?

The annual general meeting is generally held by 30 September. Financial statements (form AOC-4) are due within 30 days of that meeting, and the annual return (form MGT-7) within 60 days.

Our company has missed filings. Can you help?

Yes. We review what is pending, work out the late fees and file everything in the right order so the company is back on track.
